Just about everyone knows of the successful and highly rated television program Dancing with the Stars, which has captured the attention of Americans everywhere who are very excited, engaged and enthused at the incredible display of dancing prowess and showmanship of the “stars” and their dancing partners.
At Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship, we love to dance, but our love of dance is to dance for the ultimate “star” and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. You won’t find any kind of showmanship or skimpy outfits in our dance, those things may be great for attracting an audience, but the one we play to is no less than the very kind King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The passion and power with which we dance flows out our love and excitement for him, it is an expression with music, movement and emotion, of our desire to celebrate and exalt our savior.
The scripture commands and encourages us, to “let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” For me personally, there is nothing more thrilling and fulfilling than praising our Lord. Being in his presence, celebrating his goodness, exalting his name and lauding his excellence fills me like nothing I have ever experienced or encountered. We encourage everyone young and old, men and women, boys and girls to “get their dance on” for the Lord and welcome you to join us, as we sing praise and dance for the real star, Jesus Christ Son of the living God.
