How long does a colonic take? You’re normally on the equipment for 40 minutes.
The tube won’t come out will it? No. If you haven’t had a bowel movement in more than three days, you can pass something that’s big enough and hard enough to push the tube out, which would be a great thing.
Doesn’t a colonic clean out all the good bacteria in your colon and do I need to replace it? Most of us don’t have nearly enough good bacteria and way too much pathogenic bacteria (like yeast or candida). The colonic is going to clean the bad bacteria out of the colon and leave a perfect environment for the good bacteria to thrive in.
Can I put the tube in too far? Not really. You have about six-inches here before your colon turns. It’s much more common not to get the tube in far enough.
Can I perforate or puncture my colon? No. You’re only inserting the tube about an inch and a half.
Will I lose weight? Alone, colonics aren’t an effective long-term weight loss strategy. Colonics will help with weight loss when used together with diet and exercise.
Does it hurt? You can experience passing cramping, gas, bloating or nausea. It’s important to recognize that these are symptoms of toxins moving out of the body. We do abdominal massage, foot reflexology and essential oil treatments to help with any passing discomfort.
Should I hold the water? No. You’ll get better results on the LIBBE if you work with your body rather than trying to force it. It’s better to get into a nice rhythm of taking and releasing water.
How much water goes in? You’ll take between eight and 12 gallons of water over the course of your colonic.
How will I feel after my colonic? It really depends on your digestion and your health. People in generally good health with good digestion normally feel great after their colonics. People that have digestive problems or health problems can feel tired or get headaches or get flu-like symptoms because toxins are moving in the body. In this case, we recommend a second colonic promptly (as soon as the next day, but within a week). Other things that help are; drinking plenty of water, eating whole and natural foods, getting some exercise, saunas, hot baths, etc.
