Candleman is participating in a nation-wide grass roots effort that is called the 3/50 project. The concept is supporting the brick and mortar stores our nation is built on.
Here is how it works:
3 — Think about which three independently owned businesses you’d miss most if they were gone. Stop in and say hello. Pick up a little something that will make someone smile.
50 — If just half the U.S. population spent a total of $50 each month in independently owned businesses, their purchases would generate billions in revenue.
68 — For every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures. If you spent that in a national chain, only $43 stays here.
1 — The number of people it takes to start the trend — you.
Combine that with the exciting rollout of the “Think Santa Clarita Valley” campaign, and you will see your locally owned favorite stores, restaurants and businesses thrive.
