At Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship we believe that as the father goes and as men go, so goes society. The Christ-centered father is the backbone and the foundation upon which successful families are raised and the key to developing the next generation of leaders, husbands and providers. Society is experiencing rapid changes and men are often frustrated and confused regarding their place, purpose and role within this new dynamic. What does it mean to be a man, where do I fit, what is my purpose, how do I relate to my wife and children and other men around me?
What is my place in the cosmos and can I find true meaning and significance when there are so many conflicting pressures and forces moving upon and continually redefining me? Without a firm grounding in something bigger than himself, it is no wonder that men are often struggling and retreating into careers, sports, drugs, violence and anger. The key and the answer to this confusion and malaise, is to be found in the person of Jesus Christ. When a man finds Christ, he finds his place. When a man finds Christ, he finds true meaning, when a man learns to love and worship his creator and to partner with his Lord, he finds a level of peace and contentment, that no job or material success can match. That is why we focus heavily on helping men develop as Christians, then the other areas of his life, come into alignment.
At Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship, our men’s ministry is helmed by Rev. Andrew Taylor, who teaches and instructs from the word of God and various books that he discovers. Currently we are reviewing an exciting publication from Dr. Myles Munroe entitled Understanding the Purpose and Power of Men.
This month as we celebrate fathers, our sincere desire is that every father will find his purpose and place in Jesus Christ, who has called us to be partners with him, shepherds of his flock, servants to our families, loving and caring husbands and rocks upon which a strong nation can depend.
