The end of June is just a few days away and I am sure many of us are still not sure what to do about the automatic water softener issue.  Some are disgruntled and upset that this is being taken from us while others believe there is no other solution to our water treatment needs in the SCV area.   And then there are the rest of us who reluctantly accept that we are going to go along with the program but wait until the eleventh hour to do something.
We all tend to postpone the inevitable for various reasons.  I fall prey to this occasionally and find that dealing with the matter at hand as soon as possible can be a relief from the anxiety inside me.  I often find that after making a decision and following through with it that a great burden has been removed from my shoulders.  I can then move on and enjoy my day with one less worry.

Should this be the case with any of you who are readers of The Magazine of Santa Clarita, please allow me to help.  Remember that despite what any water treatment company may tell you, you do not have to purchase something and replace your water softener to get your rebate.  You are entitled to this service at no charge and I will be happy to arrange for removal and get the paperwork to the LACSD office for you and ensure you receive your rebate while rebates are still being offered.  That time is definitely running out – and fast!

There is more than one solution to our water needs and I encourage you to take your time and make the right decision.  Although the water hardness is a concern, it is not the only thing causing problems with our appliances and fixtures.  If you would like more information about how to deal with these problems, please call me.  I am always happy to discuss your concerns and answer your questions over the phone.

Finally, I want to thank John H., my most loyal reader, for following my articles.  And remember John, there is always plenty of coffee for you, your friends and your family.  So please continue to drop by any time.
Thank you, and as always, good health to all.
