The Santa Clarita Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its Annual Membership Brunch to celebrate 41 years of service in the SCV and to kick-off the year’s activities, on Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at the home of Louise Schultz.
AAUW is a national organization and California’s most active and diverse organization for women, with a mission statement to “Advance equality for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.”  Membership is open to anyone who holds an RN, associate degree or equivalent, or a baccalaureate or higher degree from a qualified educational institution.

Please join our celebration and discover the goals, projects and programs planned for the upcoming year.  We will discuss our Community Projects that include a Math/Science Conference for seventh and eighth grade girls, Tech Trek – a week-long residential math/science camp for girls held at a university, and Women in History – which dramatizes influential women in history.  Our interest groups include Evening Literature, Bridge, Lunch Bunch, Book Exchange and Mystery Literature. A new and exciting speaker series, Women Activating Change, begins in October.
