Do you find yourself sweeping your problems under the rug?  Do you try to forget about them or hope they’ll just resolve themselves if you wait long enough?  You are not alone.  However, these tactics don’t work to your advantage.  In fact, small problems end up creating or causing even bigger problems that are more difficult to solve.  Why not tackle these problems head on before they grow?
Our seemingly silly fears tend to prevent us from making decisions that lead to long-term solutions.  Don’t you deserve freedom from worrying?  Of course you do.  Sure, sometimes things can be difficult in the beginning, but not as bad as they might be if not taken care of right away.  Only by talking through your problems can you figure out where they originated.  Once you do that, you’d be surprised how many solutions can be found.  A bit of optimism and courage can help you conquer these pestering issues that are preventing you from enjoying your full potential.

Think of it this way: if you don’t brush and floss your teeth regularly you’ll get rotten teeth.  Of course, there are times when brushing and flossing feel like a chore that can be put off, but you know better.  Stop justifying inaction in your life.  If you don’t try to solve daily issues you just might end up unhappy and not know how you got there.

It’s a great idea to take time every night to review the day’s events and see where things can improve.  If there is a problem, take the time to write down various solutions for it, then make two columns labeled “pros” and “cons.”  Soon you’ll be devising a plan of attack and feel more control than you’ve felt in a long time.

The only thing you do when you keep sweeping problems under the rug is to trip on the big mound you’ve created.  Isn’t it time to get a vacuum and clean the stuff from under the rug?  Let’s get started on the road to happiness.
