It amazes me what will pass as entertainment these days.  The following are all forms of “entertainment” that I don’t understand.  Ultimate fighting.  In ultimate fighting you take away all the rules of boxing and let two individuals who appear to be missing brain cells and perhaps chromosomes go at each other.  People will pay a cover charge to watch this.  They call it ultimate fighting.  It is a rip off.  This is not ultimate fighting.  These people aren’t even married.  My wife could teach these guys a thing or two.  She can fight with me in her sleep. Millions of people are watching ultimate fighting and you wonder why we get teenage “Girl fights” on U-Tube.

Here we are in the month of June, and I am spearheading a crusade to put an end to a long and ugly trend in this country.  That is the trend of dads getting the short end of the gift giving stick. 

The recent earthquake in China and cyclone in Myanmar remind us how much damage a natural disaster can cause and reinforce our need to be ready for the earthquake that we know will hit Southern California. 

With a belief that classical music is a joy to be shared by everyone, the highly acclaimed Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) will bring its Neighborhood Concert Series to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) at College of the Canyons for a free performance in June.
