My name is Victoria Sammons, and I am 30 years old.  I have light to dark blonde hair, which goes down to the middle of my back.  It is “poker” straight with some layers.  I last “home” colored my hair in July. The reason why I am ready for a makeover is that I have had the same look for, well, as long as I can remember, at least 15 years.  My look has not changed because of fear,   have liked the way I looked, but I have wanted to try new things.

It’s because I have been focusing on my husband.  Since getting married in 2003, my husband and I have moved from New Jersey (where we both grow up) to Pittsburgh, PA, so he could finish his college education, to Oklahoma City, for his job training, and then here, for his job   Since getting to the area in November 2005 we found out we would be expecting our first child.  This was exciting, yet sad.  Since all our family is back on the east coast, I know we would have a hard time with no support system.  My pregnancy was hard on me.  I had a lot of issues and was put on bed rest early on and then released.  But then I was put back on bed rest with 10 weeks to go.  (But now, in the last few months I have had some life changing events occur and I would like a change to focus on myself.)  My little one came five days late via emergency c-section, because he went into destress and the doctors lost his heart beat three times in two hours.  He is doing fine now at seven weeks, but I am still on leave.  My mother-in-law died very suddenly, a few weeks before his arrival, this would have been her first grandchild.  My husband and I have been torn by this.  Since it was so close to my due date I was unable to travel back to NJ and say good bye.  This was extremely hard on me and my husband.  She lived everyday without any regrets and I would like to make this change for that reason.  No regrets just change.

I thank you for your time and consideration.  I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,   Victoria

Well Victoria!  We made it our goal this month to make it all about you!  You deserved this makeover from the get-go!  So lets see what the professionals at Tresses Salon had in store for you!

First, things first!  Victoria came to The Magazine expressing that she was tired of her “poker” straight hair.  We thought that Jeanine could help.  Jeanine was able to find a look for Victoria that was fitting for the mom-on-the-go.  Fun and sensual, this cut is easy to tame for that much needed night on the town or a much needed feeding.

Next, it was Katie’s job to find a color that would go great with Victoria’s new cut.  Although Victoria has been “box” coloring her hair at home the color itself looked great with her coloring.  Katie took that information and spiced it up and gave Victoria a look that was just luminating.  Looks like Katie also added in some lowlights too!

For the final transformation, Victoria was sent to Eileen to get her makeup done.  Eileen used browns and pinks to highlight Victoria’s natural skin tones.

As you can see the results are absolutely breathtaking.  The lasies at Tresses completely transformed Victoria’s overall look.  “This has been the best day since my son’s birth,” says Victoria.  “Thank you to everyone.”
