It has been well over a year now since I’ve stopped working to become a stay at home mom.  While I feel like my life has more purpose, my year-long journey has been a rather bumpy transition into my new role.

Boy, do I have a newfound respect for stay at home moms around the world.  This job is a difficult one hands down.  I’ve learned so much about myself as a mother and wife that I could write a book about it.  However, since this section of the magazine is about fashion, I would like to share with you all how I have learned to cut corners when shopping.

I absolutely love clothes, shoes and accessories.  Being on a budget wasn’t going to stop me or my family from looking stylish.  So, I did some research and ladies, I’ve discovered the art of wholesale shopping.  That’s right, I’ve learned to stay on top of the fashion trends without cutting a hole into my pocket.  I love that I am able to continuously save 30 percent to 75 percent off every time I shop.

Did you know that we live in the heart of a fashion district?  If you go downtown, you will discover for yourself.  80 percent of the LA Fashion District is comprised of wholesale-related business and as the hub of the apparel industry on the West Coast, the District achieves well over $7 billion a year in annual wholesale revenues.  Buyers, retailers, wholesalers and designers all gather here, creating an exciting synergy that has become synonymous with Los Angeles fashion.  The world looks to LA and the LA Fashion District for the cutting edge styles that are influencing the way the world dresses.  Go and check out www.fashiondistrict.org and see for yourself.

I have many more fashion secrets to share with you all.  For instance, I still have the ability to shop at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue or Fred Segal.  However, I never pay those prices anymore.

Feel free to give me a call at 213-361-5714 and I will direct you to even more websites as well as contact names and numbers that will blow your mind away and good luck shopping.
