We are pleased to announce the opening of our new ambulatory surgery center! Tourney Plaza Surgery Center is located at 27420 Tourney Rd, Suite 160 in Valencia near Magic Mountain Parkway and I-5. It is in the same building at the office of Helm Vision Group. The surgery center’s focus will primarily be eye surgery but will later expand to other specialties. The facility is available now to all ophthalmologists. Currently the center is being used for cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, oculoplastic surgery including blepharoplasty, and pterygium surgery. The center will be available for retina surgery in the near future, making it the only location in Santa Clarita where this type of surgery can be performed.
The center is fully accredited having passed the rigorous evaluation by the Joint Commission as of February 15, 2011. The surgery center is Medicare certified and is currently contracted with most insurance companies. This beautiful facility features a single, large operating room with accompanying pre-op and recovery area. The facility is staffed by registered nurses and board certified anesthesiologists experienced in providing IV sedation for local cases and general anesthesia when needed.
Ample parking and easy access make Tourney Plaza Surgery Center a preferred location for undergoing your procedure! In addition, because insurance rates for ambulatory surgery centers are much less than what they are for hospitals your coinsurance will also be less!
