After practicing law at some of the biggest and most prestigious law firms in the country for 16 years, I started my own practice in the Santa Clarita Valley. Why? Because I love it here. Ever since I moved here in 2002, it has been abundantly clear to me that this valley is a very special place.
I’ve been around a bit. I grew up in Texas. I went to college and law school at Harvard in Massachusetts. In the 90’s I practiced law in New York and Houston. Between 1998 and 2010, I practiced in downtown LA and on the Westside. Nowhere have I found a community that is more decent, friendly, hardworking, entrepreneurial and smart than ours here in the SCV. Our public infrastructure – our parks, Paseos, schools, recreational facilities – is unsurpassed. Add in the physical setting, and the place is … well… “Awesometown.”
For the last three years, I have been trying to do my bit to make our community even better by contributing my legal talent and experience. My mission is to combine the elite level of lawyering found at big city powerhouse firms with the personal attention, accessibility, and affordability of a local legal team. I handle many types of litigation, including insurance disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice, class actions and commercial/contract disputes. I represent individuals and businesses. I can prosecute suits as well as defend them. I also can help with family law matters and bankruptcies. My goal is to build personal relationships that transcend narrow areas of expertise. I don’t see why folks should not have a family, neighborhood lawyer in the same way they have a family, neighborhood doctor. This should be someone who knows them, knows their community, understands their business, and – above all – cares about them in a truly neighborly way. I hope to be that person for many of my wonderful SCV neighbors.
