In a CoverGirl survey, it was revealed that 50 percent of women would choose mascara if they could only use one makeup product. But think of the possibilities if your lashes were already long, lush, and dark. The best solutions would be eyelash extensions. There are four things to know about them.
1. It takes a little bit of time to get accustomed with new routines, but they are definitely worthy. With lash extensions, you should adjust yourself to lots of new routines, including how to wash your face, makeup removal, proper products for maintenance, right makeups, etc. It might take a little bit of time to get used with all the new systems but once you get used with them, your life would get much easier. In the morning, all you need would be your tinted sun block or BB cream, blush, and lip gloss.
2. No two designs are the same. There are all the different options with numerous lengths, thicknesses, curls, and even colors. The safest way to opt for would be to start from more natural look and gradually moving to dramatic look as you start to get accustomed to wear your extensions. If you are a beauty explorer, you can always modify your look by switching different lash options even every single visit.
3. Eyelash extensions are not for the faint of heart. These babies are not low-maintenance. Along with your new look, you will receive a list of rules. The extensions require daily combing with a clean lash and/or mascara brush (even with a toothpick or any pointed tool), and you must not get them directly wet within the first 2 up to 24 hours. Taking your eye makeup off also will become a daunting task. Makeup wipes are a must, since your previously trusted cotton pads would leave you picking lint off of your lashes for extra minutes. No matter how gentle you are, they will slowly (and discreetly) fall out the way your natural lashes do. However, you will be able to easily conceal any gaps with a bit of any water-soluable mascara.
4. You will become addicted. Once you get them done, you cannot imagine yourself without lash extensions. The extensions are supposed to last three to four weeks, and from there you can get them filled in. Since getting the lashes, you would get lots of convenience for your makeup routines and loads of compliments.
