Spring is here and so is wedding season! There are so many details that go into planning a wedding. To ease the stress of finding the perfect formal style I have done the research for you. This year we are seeing a lot of the old Hollywood glam look. That look can include many different styles. We are starting to see more and more brides wear all their hair down.
Up do’s have gone back to such classic looks as the Chignon.
Also falling in line with the old Hollywood glam is the finger wave, marcel wave look for down styles. We are seeing more birdcage veils rather than the sheer tool veils, embellished mini hats, headbands or hairpieces, and or no hair accessories at all. My best advice to brides is to allow your stylist a little freedom. Come in for a practice a month or more in advance to try a look. Some important things to know about practice appointments are as follows. You want an idea of a look, not perfect placement. I always tell my brides “If their practice is perfect how do you top that or improve for the big day? You would never want your practice to look better than the main event.” Give your stylist a direction by informing them of the look, style, and ambiance of your wedding. That way they can better make recommendations based on your specific wedding and hair type. Once you have your style selected you can relax.
