While most women understand what the wardrobe “must haves” are (LBD/little black dress, crisp white button down, etc.) we are constantly wondering what is the latest trend for the upcoming season? Spring/summer 2015 has a great combination of feminine, fresh, and flashback styles to keep us looking great for months to come.
I’ll start with my favorite – flashback to the 70’s. While this trend has been creeping up for a while now – it is in full “flare” on the spring and summer cat walks. Channel your inner Cher and throw on a pair of bellbottoms with as groovy of a pattern as you can find! Pair this up with a bit of Boho… think loose and flowy, romantic silhouettes to girl it up a bit. Next a constant nod to spring has always been lace – but 2015 has ramped it up even further with some of the most gorgeous lace touches I’ve ever seen. If you pay attention you’ll be seeing clean white and warm ivory lace influences everywhere! The best thing about lace is that it can be the most elegant piece you own or it can be dressed down to add a special touch to your favorite blue jeans. Additional key trends you will be seeing include high-end denim designs, fringe accessorizing, and layers, layers, layers. So, while we’ve been taught to never let go of those versatile black pumps and our “go to” strand of pearls, we can rest assured that the trends of spring/summer 2015 will not only complement the essentials but also add some flare and fun to the upcoming season!
