There comes a time when you have a body of experiences, and you have had some life lessons shall we say. We have all had the highs and lows of life. This is something that I have learned to embrace. As I enter a new phase of my life, I have seen the value of creating time to step away from the day-to-day tasks we must handle. These experiences have brought us to where we are, and they can color our world either in a positive manner, or they can create resentment or a sense of struggle.
The real truth is, that if we can take the time to just be and not judge the situation, there are things that can present themselves that lend to a greater understanding. Recently I took a few days to spend with me, and that time that I gave myself was transformative. In my busy day-to-day life, I find that things will come up, but because I have so many tasks at hand, I have to push those thoughts away. What started to present itself to me was that I wasn’t listening to what a big part of myself needed, which was time to reflect and see where I have been and where I am going. Once I started to pay attention, my emotions, my thinking, and just my general way of being was so centered and calm again. I started to see things with a refreshed and new vision. I got excited again about even the little things. Reflection leads to a kind of renewal. “Be still and know…”
