Here at Valencia Veterinary Center we realize the importance of pet cancer awareness. Below you will find a few tips to help you watch out for signs of cancer in your pet.
1. Lumps and Bumps: Non-resolving or growing
in size.
2. Abnormal Odors: Coming from mouth, ears, or
any other part of your pet’s body.
3. Abnormal Discharges: Coming from the eyes,
ears, nose, or any other part of your pet’s body.
4. Non-healing Wounds: Wounds are lesions that have not healed within one week.
5. Weight Loss: Sudden or ongoing weight loss.
6. Change in Appetite: Stop eating without a cause, or difficulty swallowing
or eating.
7. Coughing or Difficulty Breathing
8. Lethargy or Depression: Sudden decrease in playful mood or normal behavior.
9. Changes in Bathroom Habits: Difficulty going, decrease or increase and/or
blood in urine or stool.
10. Evidence of Pain: Limping while walking, running or jumping. Panting
or restless.
