Openness – Strategy behind marketing for your business
Collaboration, transparency, sharing, and empowerment, are the four key components to being open with your business structure. Any business owner in SCV should know that when they are looking to start marketing to their customers or consumers, that they need to view the various perceptions from disciplines, that is when the Marketing Triangle kicks in.
Ideally consumer’s wants, needs, and desires are categorized and split into five different components, physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self actualization. You see what each category consists of, and the different perceptions of consumers wants and needs as “problems”. By infusing these strategies, a business could potentially see growth, and empowerment.
This is the marketing triangle that many business owners for larger companies take into consideration when thinking about what products, and how to go about advertising towards their consumers. We live in a world where we are able to access so much information from technology, and reproduction can be easy. The value of the internet has came along way, we now have access to so much information, as well as distributing that information at an exceptionally fast rate. Google, Facebook and Twitter, are some of the many ways we can “connect” with each other through social media, better known as “openness”. We are made up of individual members and groups that can collaborate together, group thinking, and crowd sourcing, which allows flexible communication, and allows businesses to share information and collaborate through social software, social media, and social computing.
Through these four concepts, and with the use of the marketing triangle, businesses can use this as a platform to help share information, and to share intellectual property rights that could launch our economy forward building business relationships, ties, and collaborating to empower all parties involved. Technology is here to stay and is taking a strong stance, it allows businesses to be open, and show its customers its values and overall morals as a company. So next time you are thinking about trying to expand, think about the four key components to “openness” and how the marketing triangle can help you and your business succeed.
