First a cliff note on Big John McCarthy: he is in fact, a big man. (He looks like a professional man mover). More importantly, he is best and most noteworthy mixed martial arts “MMA” referee the world has ever seen. He has been around since the sport was in its infancy, and knows and is respected by everyone in the MMA world. Just yesterday Frank Shamrock (former UFC champion and a real nice guy) stopped in just to say hi.
While I am new as the manager at Big John’s Ultimate Training Academy “BJMUTA”, I am not new to their facility or vision. I have seen many children learn skills and grow in confidence.
Weekly, I am privileged to see members accomplish things they had never tried before.  For some that means punching and kicking, or climbing a rope, or using gymnastic rings, pushing football sleds, learning to lift weight for effectiveness or learning self-defense! I love this gym and you will too!
It has been said, “When you stop learning, you start dying”. We have many new things to teach and share with you!
