SCV’s Teenage Talent – Part two in a five part series
There is so much talent in Santa Clarita, and much of it goes unnoticed. SCV teens are at a creative peak, writing their own music, and broadcasting it to the world. The music ranges from Indie to Metal, with everything in between. By utilizing platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube, many young musicians have gained a fan base, which could eventually lead to their big break. These music acts are on the way up, so catch them while they’re close to home. Continued from part one in our December issue.
The Loose
Ethan Hubbard, or “The Loose” is a jack-of-all-trades in the music world. He plays everything from piano to guitar with a style he categorizes as “folk rock” and nearly seven years of experience.
His inspirations include Bon Iver and Tallest Man on Earth from which he derived his style. Hubbard plays both originals and covers of classics. He can come up with a song about once a week, which is often about his girlfriend or bad days.
Considering the future, Hubbard plans on pursuing another side of music by studying to be a sound engineer.
