Sinus Headache – What is it and how do I make it go away?

 Many patients come to our office with complaints of “sinus” or “sinus headache” with the main symptom being severe, crushing facial pain.  While there is no doubt that these patients are miserable and uncomfortable, there is some question as to what is actually causing their symptoms.   People with complaints of sinus pain, pressure, and congestion may suffer from a wide variety of different conditions that can look virtually identical to many physicians.  Symptoms such as these can be caused by conditions ranging from acute sinus infections to severe allergy flairs to atypical migraine headache. For this reason it is important to get a thorough, comprehensive evaluation by a skilled expert in order to determine the most effective, definitive treatment will be.
