Golden Oak Community School Welcome to Golden Oak Community School, the home of the Wise Owls!

Golden Oak’s beautiful campus is a wonderful place to attend school.  We have a caring staff dedicated to educating students in a safe, welcoming learning environment.  At Golden Oak we offer a rigorous academic curriculum to meet the needs of all levels of students to enhance their achievement.
Golden Oak teachers continue to follow a Professional Learning Community model, with our vision and mission to deliver a challenging curriculum that is based on the California State Standards. Grade level teachers collaboratively plan lessons to meet the individual student needs. The effective use of a wide range of teaching strategies and a variety of high quality, readily available materials allow the highly qualified teachers to bring the curriculum to life.  Classrooms abound with technology allowing our students to develop as 21st Century learners. At Golden Oak, we also have a focus on STEAM, with students accessing our Science Lab and developing their musical talents with our music enrichment classes.  After-school enrichment opportunities include band, chorus, martial arts, science, coding, in addition to others.
Students at Golden Oak are recognized for their dedication to academics and character development through Caught Being Good slips, monthly academic and character awards, special Accelerated Reader awards, and a weekly principal’s award titled “The Wise Owl Award.”  Our students follow the Golden Rules of Conduct and strive to become WISE Owls, based on their winning attitude, integrity, ability to show respect and responsibility, and by encouraging others.
School spirit is strong at Golden Oak.  If you were to stop by the campus on a Friday, you would see a plethora of red showing off our school pride.  Every month each class is excited to join in on the spirit day theme with a chance to win the Golden Oak Spirit trophy.  At our monthly assemblies, our 5th and 6th grade spirit squad and Hoot, our mascot, help to excite and engage the crowd.
Golden Oak is rich with parent support and involvement. We share a common goal of inspiring students to be their personal best.  Parent volunteers are visible in every classroom. Our PTA strives to support our students.  Just a few of the PTA sponsored events at Golden Oak include the Fall Festival, Mother/Son Bowling, Father/Daughter Dance and our AR Pancake Breakfasts.
