Deserving Greatness

 A very special person in my life once told me that I deserve “greatness.”  At the time I know it was a beautiful thing to share with me, but I don’t think I ever took the time to really believe what he was sharing with me.  As I have time to live my life, and of course reflect on certain passages of my life, I have recently really become to understand the beauty of what he shared, and what he saw in me.  I still marvel at how it takes us time to realize that magic that we hold, the utterly awesome uniqueness of each soul, and what we are here to do in this life.  If only we could gently step away from the day to day duties, and see with that same love that he saw in me.  I wish I had seen it sooner, yet here I am, in today, very present, and living my life in a much more mindful way.  Awe yes, in our youth we struggle so much with wanting and acquiring, and yet as we get older, we then try to simplify.   Where I stand today is such a more peaceful and aware time of my life.  One, which I wouldn’t change for anything!  I am grateful and my commitment is to try and see that greatness in me, and truly believe it.  We all have greatness, and I do not mean in a boastful way, but a divine way.  That greatness can then be expressed through many different avenues, which will only lead to more greatness.
