Raise the Barre on Your Workout – New Valencia fitness center, Cardio Barre, helps build a dancer’s physique
The dream of opening up a Cardio Barre facility came true for Sami Haley and her mother Lynda Chalmers earlier this year. On January 23, Cardio Barre, located at 28670 The Old Road in Valencia, opened its doors to the public.
“We couldn’t have done this without the help and support of my husband Nick and father, Mike,” Owner Sami Haley said. “This is a family-run business, and it has been a dream to work together and see the studio come to life.”
An avid lover of fitness, Sami has been involved in the industry for the last eight years.
“My mother has always shared her love for fitness with me, and together, we thought it would be a great idea to open up Cardio Barre in Santa Clarita,” Sami said.
Cardio Barre is a unique, high energy/no impact exercise class that combines barre work and light weights with continual fat burning motion. Toning and resistance exercises for the butt, legs, torso and arms to sculpt muscles and elongate the appearance of your body is central to the workout.
“It’s a mind, body and soul experience,” Sami said. “We don’t just focus on fitness, but the body as a whole. It’s all encompassing, and you’ll know what I mean once you experience a class at Cardio Barre.”
Cardio Barre has proven to be a mainstay with the original location opening in 2001 and the first franchise in 2007. It is a workout studio where up to five percent of body fat can be lost in eight weeks time. At Cardio Barre, it’s not about intense kicking, jumping and punching; it’s about lengthening and strengthening your muscles as you’re burning fat.
“What is also great about Cardio Barre is that each class can be modified to suit your needs and comfort levels,” Sami said.
Taking barre classes is the optimal way to learn exercises for toning, training and developing a dancer’s lean and strong physique. Clients can get in shape in a comfortable and personalized environment.
“It is important for us to create an inviting atmosphere for our clients,” Sami said. “We want the studio to be our clients’ home away from home.”
Since the opening of Cardio Barre in Santa Clarita, clients have been happy with the results, as they are eager to return and take more classes.
Cardio Barre strives to continue to grow in popularity, utilizing motivational techniques to inspire and transform lives through the barre-based cardio gym workout, and carry out its mission “to empower people to transform their lives through fitness, education, motivation and passion.”
