Musical Theatre What an Amazing Confidence Booster!
Musical Theatre is well-known for boosting self-confidence! Developing performing arts skills are not only fun, but very rewarding. D.E.E. Studios’ Academy loves to encourage kids to perform songs, dances, and monologues as ‘characters’. And, becoming someone else can also be a great stress reliever. It is a freeing experience – one that helps with communication skills, public speaking, and again, building ‘confidence’!
In the Academy’s workshops, we encourage students of all ages to share their love for theatre, music, and dance. Enrollment in a Musical Theatre workshop provides the opportunity to sing solos, dance in high energy numbers from Broadway shows and learn scenes and monologues. This in turn, assists in the development of skills necessary to audition and perform in a ‘full-scale’ Broadway style musical. Students also have the opportunity to opt taking additional classes offered by the Academy, which will further enhance their development, such as: private or group instruction in keyboard/piano and singing, as well as song-writing and music theory.
This summer, D.E.E. Studios will be offering an exhilarating, fun-filled musical theatre camp. The theme of this summer’s camp will be excerpts from Disney’s wonderful “Descendants” movie. Talented individuals who enroll can anticipate developing ‘Triple-Threat’ skills in: singing, dancing and acting. While they are fine-tuning their performing arts skills, they will also be preparing for an end of the workshop showcase presentation. We guarantee that the students will grow and develop – not only as performers – but over-all, as more ‘confident’ individuals. Both experienced and inexperienced students alike, from all ages of the spectrum, are welcome to enroll. The mission behind the Academy’s programs is… to promote ‘self-confidence’ – so involvement in the class will not only improve their over-all self-esteem, but also increase the students’ skill levels in the varied stages of their development and levels of abilities. And as an added benefit, music still remains a great way for kids to improve in their academic skills, such as math principals, for example . . . in a fun and creative environment. So, come join us for a new summer adventure! The benefits will be unsurpassed!
