One, Two, Three – Gorgeous Curls are Yours!

 So how do so many curly girls get amazing curls? Well first they start off by getting an awesome Deva curl curly girl haircut. We cut the hair dry first and, depending on the curl type and pattern, we offer you a product recommendation that is best suited for your hair. This month we are going to talk about the rock star products that control curls and prevent frizz while allowing you to be able to create beautiful curls all summer long. What is light defining gel? It is a light-hold, moisturizing gel that molds to the hair creating a moisture-protective barrier called the Curl Cast that sets curls while preventing frizz. This is the lightest gel in the Deva family and it is designed to be used on wet hair. Apply the gel between your palms and glide evenly over your hair, tilting your head forward and scrunching upward to define curls.  Once applied and scrunched, it’s better not to touch or play with your hair to allow the curl cast to form while drying.  For added volume, dry with the DevaFuser. Once dry, shake at the root and gently scrunch upward to soften the firm gel cast to reveal bouncy, soft, crunch-free curls. With your curl shape intact you’re sure to make ‘em Gel-ous. The Firmest Gel in the Deva family is the Arc AnGEL. What is it you ask? It is a firm-hold moisturizing and defining gel that’s perfect for chemically-treated curls. Yes, Curls that are highlighted and colored.  As it dries, the gel sets the curl shape by forming a moisture-protective cast that protects from frizz during the drying process. Again it is applied to wet hair by tilting the head forward and scrunch wet curls in an upward motion. For less volume tilt forward when applying the product and run your hand back after you tilt back.  Scrunch upward toward the scalp to define curls.  Once dry, scrunch curls again to release the moisture-protective cast (the gel cast) and reveal soft, beautiful curls.
