Relay for Life 2016
What started out as cool and blustery morning turned into another great ACS Relay For Life event for Santa Clarita on May 21 and 22nd at Central Park. Crowds showed up early on Saturday for the Opening Ceremonies and very important Survivor Lap.
The day continued with entertainment, games, fundraising and food trucks for the whole family. Saturday night did not disappoint with the moving speaker and continued as the night glowed with the luminaria candles as thousands of people walked the track remembering loved ones who had lost the battle against cancer and those still fighting their fight. After that the over 200 runners made their way through the Park for the 2nd Annual Glow in the Park Fun Run 5K. Overall a successful event and planning for next year is already underway.
Donations can still be made and more information about the event and The American Cancer Society can be found at www.scvrelay.org.
