 From the gorgeous murals on the walls, to the authentic aromas that fill the air, you can’t help but experience all the flavors of Mexico at Margaritas Mexican Grill.  When entering Margaritas you will be immediately greeted with a smile from owners Jose and Maria as well as their friendly staff.  The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to dine.  Margaritas Mexican Grill is a family-owned and operated authentic Mexican restaurant nearing two decades of serving unique, fresh and delicious meals as well as cocktails.  Many of the recipes were created when chef/owner Maria Acevedo used to cook for her six brothers and sisters while growing up in Ensenada.  From the taste of her cooking, it was truly an effective training ground and as for their longevity in the restaurant business, Jose was inducted years ago as a busboy.
“I used to serve chips and salsa on Olivera Street to President Reagan, Sonny and Cher and Elton John,” says Jose.  And Maria began her career as a waitress at an Acapulco restaurant in Glendale.  Their combined food service and preparation experience has served them well.  They’ve made a living owning restaurants together for the past 16 years.
“The people like our food.  That’s what makes me happy,” says Maria, whose joyous laughter is fitting for a woman who naturally and effectively infuses her recipes with the same kind of zest for life.
Take advantage of their Sunday Champagne Brunch, their daily lunch buffets, all day happy hour on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a delicious Saturday breakfast.  You won’t be disappointed.  There is also a banquet room to accommodate large parties.  The various desserts set them apart from other Mexican restaurants and their vegetarian options are worth the experience.
