Microblading for your Big Day

Microblading is a semi-permanent pigmentation process that uses several tiny needles to give thickness, shape, color, and definition to eyebrows. Unlike traditional cosmetic tattoos that are applied to the dermis, a deeper layer of skin, microblading is applied to the epidermis, a layer of skin closer to the surface. This technique gives the hair strokes a more natural, fine, feathered look and lasts for up to a few years. This method uses 100 percent natural pigments that are matched specifically to each person’s skin and brow color. A typical microblading consult lasts around 30 minutes during the numbing session and is extremely important in order to discuss goals and expectations prior to the procedure.  The actual microblading takes about one hour with a four-to-six-week follow-up where a touch up may be necessary. There really is no “downtime” after microblading; however, brows will appear darker for the first week for the brows to fully heal. There’s also no sweating for 48 hours after the procedure, so the Bridal Body Workout will have to take a backseat to the brows for a few days.
Brides should give themselves at least two months before their wedding day to have the microblading done. But the bonus is the beautiful brows will last far beyond the honeymoon phase if they are maintained well!
