Party on and Dazzle with 10 Holiday Pro Makeup Tips

It’s party time!  Time to glam it up this holiday season especially since you’ll be taking lots of selfies.  My pro tips will help you to get party ready and keep your makeup looking fresh until dawn!
Tip 1: Prime time. Avoid makeup melt down by applying foundation primer over your moisturizer to smooth the skin’s texture, fill in pores and fine lines.
Tip 2: Apply an eye cream. Prevent under eyes from caking and looking dry by applying a hydrating eye cream before your concealer.
Tip 3: Flawless foundation. Streak-free foundation requires a foundation brush for that flawless finish. Set your T-zone with an invisible powder to block the shine.  Airbrushing foundation is another great way to get a flawless application, done only by a professional.
Tip 4: Highlight.  Highlighting is hot!  Dust on a pearlized highlighter to accentuate cheekbones, bridge of nose, brow bones, cupid’s bow and décolleté.
Tip 5: Contour.  Bring out those bones!  Sculpt and contour your face, with a contouring cream or powder, or neutral bronzer.
Tip 6: Smoke it up. With a firm shadow brush apply a dark eye shadow, starting at the lash base, working up past the crease. With a fluffy brush, blend upward and outward for a soft, smoldering effect.
Tip 7: Cat eyes.  Eyeliner rules!  Apply a waterproof pencil in the waterline to make lashes appear super thick and eyes brighter.  Create a dramatic winged eye effect by applying gel liner or pencil and extending it beyond the eye area. For that finishing flutter, have a pro apply individual lashes or a wispy strip.
Tip 8: Lips go vampy or classic. Go berry bold, classic red or naked nude. Go matte, shimmery or glossy. For long-wear, separate a tissue and place one layer over lips. Then dust through the tissue with translucent powder to mattify and set color. For more dazzle, mix clear gloss with glitter and apply over your favorite lipstick.
Tip 9: Add glitz and sparkle.  Decorate your face! Glue crystals around the eye area and dab glitter to the center of your eyelids.
