Embracing the Struggle

As we all know life has its challenges.  Sometimes when we least expect it, we get hit with things that we don’t want to handle, or perhaps we don’t know how to handle.
This past year I have watched many people go through loss, hurts, setbacks.  We are all subject to passages of time when things are not easy.  This I understand, and I have great compassion for those around me.  I too have had my own setbacks.  What I have come to realize, is that these times of hardship, can actually re-shape us, much like a sculptor who works with his clay.  I have begun to soften my perception.  Sometimes when we don’t know what to do, the best thing to do is let go! When we let go, our energy shifts, and then we soften as well, we are more open to solutions. Sometimes the solutions come in a way that harmony is restored, and we can actually see the value of the so called “setback”.  Our obstacles are opportunities if we let them.
