The first time I met Becca Brassfield she was working with a fellow beauty professional at an education event for Santa Clarita women.  I remember being taken with her presence—she was calm, collected and extremely knowledgeable. To my surprise, and only a few weeks later I ran into Becca, again.  This time it was to share with The Magazine of Santa Clarita that she was opening her own space, Sugar & Shine, in the Sola Salon Studios.  With a unique talent and eye for aesthetics, her ability to provide a safe and natural selection of services along with professional makeup application for any special event, Becca is ready to pamper, educate and expand her clientele.

Sugaring is an ancient form of hair removal using nothing but water, sugar and lemon boiled down into a honey like consistency. “The best thing that you can do to increase the longevity of your tan is to apply a Tan Extending Moisturizer once a day. Keep in mind that long showers/baths, hot tubs, heavy sweating, and swimming in salt water and/or chlorine all tend to dry out your skin. Exfoliating lightly can help the tan fade more naturally,” offers Becca. “It is best to wear dark, loose fitting clothing and flip flops. There is cosmetic bronzer in the solution and there is a chance that it can rub off on clothing. It washes out of most materials, but it is better to be on the safe side and not wear anything light in color, ya know.”
