Family Florist came about when two longtime florists, Alejandra Reyes and Daisy Neito, decided to use their combined experience to open up a shop.  Alejandra’s love for nature began with her mother’s influence.  When Alejandra was in Mexico, her mother worked for a floral business and mentored her in floral design.
“Alejandra used to design for various events that went on in Mexico, which is where she learned all of her expertise,” Daisy said.  “She has been working as a retail florist since she was 22 years old.”
With extensive experience in the floral design industry, Alejandra decided to move to the United States and start her own retail business right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
“After 17 years of working in retail, Alejandra decided to open her own business,” Daisy said.  “She just fell in love with the art of designing.”
Daisy, on the other hand, has been the manager of Family Florist for more than 10 years and has five years of experience at a former floral shop.
“I have always worked with plants in the floral business,” Daisy said, “and I feel in touch with nature while I work.”
When combined, the entire Family Florist staff of designers has 55 years of shared experience, Daisy said.
“It allows us to offer a little bit of everything,” Daisy said.

“We do everything from contemporary to weddings, as well as regular floral arrangements, plant dish gardens, stuffed animals and balloons,” Daisy said.
