Are you Ready for Prom?
Prom night is a time you deserve to feel next-level gorgeous, so take your hair and makeup up a notch with some of this year’s trends.
The ever-so-popular fairy tale princess style with a few flowers to give you that ethereal feel. The key is to keep it soft and understated so your natural beauty shines. By adding a few flowers in the hair you make it fun and beautiful. The next style that is a favorite of years’ past is mixing braids. We can mix braids on the side, on the top across the head, down the back, pin them up or even braid the braids for added interest. To increase the thickness of the braids extensions can be used. A new one this year is the Braid-Hawk where we can make a braid a Mohawk. “Gatsby waves” are also a popular choice for girls who wish to wear their hair down and have some texture added to their look. Gatsby waves are different from their cousin “beach waves”, the Gatsby waves are a bit tighter and polished. Beach waves are always in high demand and are recommended on hair that holds a curl and is looking for a more relaxed looked. Those of us that our hair doesn’t hold curl need to look for styles that might have some pinning and a tighter curl to ensure longevity of the style. Low and high buns have also been seen this year on the runways it all depends on the neckline of your dress. Buns can be clean, tight and polished but most girls prefer messy buns with romantic pieces pulled around their faces for a very free spirit feel. Lastly glittery roots are all the rage! Adding bling to your part is fun and youthful and draws the eye to your beautiful style. A great style is ready for you this prom season. Spaces are limited so please call early and, as always, please feel free to call us for a consultation appointment.
