Your Tax Appointment

 If you haven’t already made arrangements to have your tax return prepared, now is the time to do so. Qualified tax professionals book early for the entire period, now thru April 15th.
This year, new Federal and State tax laws will affect everyone. Make sure to discuss with your tax professional, those areas he or she believes will affect you. Also discuss how you can position yourself better to reduce your future tax costs.
In addition to new tax laws, some of the existing tax laws are scheduled to expire. You need to know these too.
Good communication with your tax professional will help you to get the most out of your tax appointment. Be on time and be prepared. Complete the organizer if asked to do so. Bring with you supporting documentation for income, deductions, and credits.
