Creating a Space for Children to Grow Creative Years Celebrates 39 Years in Business
Imagine a space where kids can be kids, they can sing, and dance as well as learn and play with friends. They spend their days filled with joy, laughter and wonder to what the next day holds… Welcome to Creative Years Infant Center & Preschool.
For the past 39 years, the caring mentors at Creative Years have been nurturing the minds, hearts and souls of the young people right here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Serving our entire community, Creative Years programs include full time infants & toddlers, full time preschool and part time preschool.
While fun is a large part of what helps kids learn, Creative Years focuses on good habits, consistent routines and positive reinforcement to teach their children the lessons that will shape how they develop as they age. Nutrition is a large part of development which is why they offer the children two healthy daily snacks included with tuition. Parents are also offered the convenience of a freshly cooked hot lunch option. You may choose the days you wish to order hot lunches, or you can get them each day your child attends by pre-ordering for the month.
With Spring fast approaching (March 20) the teachers and families at Creative Years are looking forward to the upcoming Spring Fair. Held this year on April 14, this annual Spring Fair Family Fun Day features lots of games designed for toddlers and children as well as two age-appropriate bounce houses, face painting, temporary tattoos, hands-on projects, an amazing silent auction as well as food… so much delicious food! The bake sale is always a highlight for everyone as well as catching up with CY Alumni.
“It’s a very fun day spent with friends celebrating the community we have created,” says Director Denise Bayliss. “The parents help run the different booths for the kids as well as assist with the bake sale. We all come together to make the day special for everyone.”
Following the Spring Fair, Creative Years holds Summer Camp. For nine weeks children experience different themes to explore and expand their knowledge. Week one begins with Mud & Goo and week nine wraps with Mini Musicians. During those nine weeks, Creative Years also hosts Winter in July, with a snow day made possible by Newhall Ice Company. An area of the campus is transformed into a snowy wonderland for the children to explore, play and just have fun.
The music program is a wonderful addition to the children’s curriculum. Professional music teacher Mindy with Little School of Music teaches a special music program designed for Infants and Toddlers. For ages two and older there is a more advanced music program. The children take an adventure into an assortment of different instruments while incorporating ear training, music theory, intonation and rhythm. All classes are offered to the children at no additional cost to the families.
