The Advanced Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute and Michael Lin, MD proudly announce the addition of Lisa Xu, MD to the Practice

Dr. Xu is a board-certified dermatologist who has extensive experience in both medical and aesthetic dermatology. She completed a prestigious laser and cosmetic fellowship at Harvard Medical School under Dr. R. Rox Anderson, the inventor of laser hair and tattoo removal, fractional laser technologies, and Coolsculpting for fat removal. She served as clinical faculty at Johns Hopkins University where she trained Dermatology residents in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Xu is active in research and innovation and has served as Director of the Clinical Research Unit at Indiana University. She also received the first prize research award by the Michigan Dermatologic Society for her innovative studies in laser medicine. She is a frequent invited speaker at national and regional conferences and is a committee member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In addition, Dr. Xu has published numerous medical articles and book chapters and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology.
She treats a wide spectrum of skin conditions including skin cancer, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and eczema. She is also experienced in all aspects of laser surgery including facial rejuvenation, body contouring, treatment of brown spots, birthmarks, blood vessels and scars. She is an expert injector of Botox and hyaluronic acid fillers using advanced techniques.
In her spare time, Dr. Xu enjoys playing the piano and singing. She also devotes time to a regular yoga practice. She has been a Valencia resident for several years and enjoys being a part of our community.
Dr. Xu is accepting new patients and for a limited time will offer free cosmetic and laser consultations (regular consult fee of $200).
