Arts for Santa Clarita Makes Its Mark with Inaugural ARTS RUN!
On Saturday, April 21st the first ever SCV Arts Run was held at Valencia Heritage Park. The event was highly successful, bringing together over 290 participants and over 20 arts organizations from the Santa Clarita Valley.
The Arts Run featured performances in all mediums of art, throughout the course. One highlight was the SCV Concert Band, performing at the finish line. There are not many marathons in town that greet you with a live performance of the Olympic Theme Song, after crossing the finish line. Arts for Santa Clarita also revealed its new logo, designed by Nicholas Markell of the St. Kateri Church. This logo was the result of a logo contest held by the Organization.
The Arts Run will be back again next year on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 with even more local art and fun festivities. Interested participants can sign up for early bird registration notification at: www.scvartsrun.org
