Find your Authentic Self So You Can Start Dancing Again
During my recent travels across the globe, I’ve seen people from all walks of life having amazing moments as well as not-so-wonderful ones. Well, no big news there. Our lives are a series of highs and lows intertwined since we all have our share of joys and oys. Anxiety and pain are human traits just as much as love and joy. That’s the nature of the human condition everywhere, but how do we get out of this journey alive?
Once we realize hardships it’s important not to lose sight of who we are. Feeling overwhelmed by new stressful situations can easily sweep us into feelings of loneliness and depression, helplessness and despair. We have choices in life. We can choose to change the way we accept things to deal with our new reality. We must remember to be kind to ourselves and focus with hope and optimism and know when to leave behind toxic situations and people who no longer make us happy. Some people can drain our energy with their need to fill up their bottomless barrel with more and more never finding true happiness. It is their problem and it’s not a reflection on us. We can only fix ourselves by remembering our strengths and attributes and by being true to our own values and our authentic selves.
Some people come into our lives to be a part of it; others come to teach us a valuable lesson. Be willing to learn from each experience. No one is immune to making mistakes or having challenges, but it’s possible to enjoy the roses despite their thorns. We can choose to envelop ourselves with self-love and surround ourselves with a great support system of loving family members and good friends. Appreciate the people who truly appreciate who you are and your values. Recognize the best qualities about each other.
Be in charge of your journey. Laugh when you can; cry if you must. Continue to tip toe through the rain drops until you start dancing again with a renewed sense of confidence and pride. Live your life with integrity, truthfulness and compassion, and in time, you’ll discover new insights and create abundance of new, happy moments.
Look within yourself to find what truly makes you happy and you’ll find peace and joy again.
