Is a Weight Loss Challenge for You?
Is a weight loss challenge for you? I may be biased being that I own a gym that runs weight loss (and other types of) challenges. However, being in the weight loss and fitness business for 20 plus years I can share some of my experience with you.
My lowest body fat as an adult has been 10 percent. And, it felt a little low for my liking. The healthy range for a man is 10 to 20 percent. In case you’re curious, the healthy range for a woman is 18 to 28 percent.
The reason I went after the weight loss with all I had is because I wanted to win a bet between a friend and I. And yeah, I won! He also lost a bunch of weight, so really he won too!
No one joins contests for things they don’t really want. If you don’t like to fish, are you going to enter a fishing contest? Nope.
People that join weight loss contests already wanted to lose weight. They just needed a fun way to get started! Weight loss contests are fun! If it’s not, then you’re with the wrong gym. It is really an opportunity for a gym to showcase their facility, staff, knowledge, personality and see if it’s a place that you want to be.
Weight Loss challenges are great for the following reasons. 1) You get fast results, 2) make friends and have fun, 3) Your goals are managed by professionals, 4) competition creates “drive”, 5) whether you win the “prize” or not, you’ve won if you’ve gotten better!
If you want to make a quick impact to your body, get in a short-term weight loss challenge. Find a place with people you want to be around (it’s a huge impact on your results). We have a great track record for weight loss and performance coaching. Please ask us how we can help you get your results fast.
