Child & Family Center’s Trike Derby
What could be more entertaining than watching adults in ridiculous costumes race each other on tricycles? See for yourself at Child & Family Center’s 2nd Annual Trike Derby on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Wolf Creek Brewery from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The grand finale to the day’s festivities will feature a concert from 6-9pm by Kelly’s Lot & Friends, a world renown blues band. The concert will take place in the Crystal Palace Spiegeltent, a travelling dance hall that has been an attraction in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands since 1947. Donations to attend are gratefully accepted, and will help support the Center’s Domestic Violence Program.
The Trike Derby and the concert are open to the public. All proceeds raised will support Child & Family Center, which provides mental health, substance use prevention and domestic violence services.
There will also be food trucks, craft beer, and a costume parade. Spectators will be able to vote for the best team theme.
Companies fielding a team include Child & Family Center, Valencia BMW, Lentini Financial Advisory, Wolf Creek Brewery, Skyline Home Loans, Newhall Escrow, American Family Funding, Scorpion, Martin & Company Tax & Wealth Advisors, AutoNation Valencia Chevrolet and Mercedes-Benz of Valencia.
Race sponsors include Eighth & Rail, Stern Kory Sreden & Morgan, Salon Seven, Suzanne Duncombe, Mike Berger, Dave Reeves, Valencia Acura, Barbara Cochran and Jerry Buckley & Sue Reynolds Buckley. Media sponsors include Santa Clarita Magazine, KHTS AM 1220, and The Signal.
