Having a Vision?
Once again, we’re standing at the threshold of a new year. After an honest evaluation of last year’s achievements, we can let go of the limiting beliefs that kept us stuck and didn’t work for us. Learning from our failures, we look ahead with a renewed sense of clarity and vision. Have you ever created a vision board with your hopes, intentions and desires on it? Vision boards with images and inspiring words can help us increase our self-awareness, identify our core beliefs and prioritize our life’s goals. They may be short- or long-term goals regarding our careers, education ambitions and personal relationships. Physical and spiritual growth can be found as well through daily meditation and regular exercise; both recharge our batteries and help us stay focused on our goals longer. Playtime with family and friends, going out to concerts and taking vacations are equally important fun aspirations that we should desire to achieve in life.
We need to review our goals on the vision board daily, in the morning, to get inspired and at night to keep them in our subconscious mind. Mostly, we must believe that we’re deserving of getting those wishes fulfilled. But nothing will be actualized without making real plans towards achieving what’s important to us. The sages of India said: “You are what your deepest desire is. As you desire, so is your intention. As your intention, so is your will. As your will, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.” With diligent work and staying on track, positive results will happen, giving you fulfillment and joy. Make the time to work on your aspirations or they’ll fade away like last year’s resolutions. Isn’t your life worth it? So get ready, set, goals!
