From Preschool to Princeton
As a school we are so proud of our alumni student Adrienne Chang as she will be attending one of the most prestigious universities in the country this coming fall. Adrienne started her educational journey at Creative Years. She has excelled in academics and athletics and has been accepted to Princeton University, class of 2023. She will be playing on the softball team.
Mom Kathy states, Adrienne is our only child and we wanted to provide a great foundation for her education. She attended Creative Years from age two to five years.
Adrienne, what can you remember from preschool years? I can remember playing in the yard on the plastic dinosaurs and sand, making grape popsicles in Dixie cups, doing fun arts and crafts every day. I also remember singing songs before we could go in the yard and the birthday celebrations.
What did preschool help you with? I think the greatest impact that Creative Years had on me was establishing my ability to think and problem-solve at a young age. This was especially important to me as I moved forward in my education. I also got exposed to early socialization allowing me to continue to be outgoing throughout elementary school and the rest of my academic career. It is important to be able to express oneself in order to get the most of their education.
Mom Kathy says that the preschool years were very beneficial in many ways. Creative Years’ focus on social development, creativity thru art and music, structure/time management, language and communication, intro to reading and math, independence, motor skills and encouragement has helped Adrienne establish a strong foundation and the love for lifelong learning.
We appreciate all of Adrienne’s teachers and friends at Creative Years for a positive early childhood experience.
We wish Adrienne much success in her future years at Princeton University!
