Welcome Dr. Megan!
In January we announced that we were looking forward to 2019 and all the exciting changes that are happening at The Cat Doctor & Friends. We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Megan Thomas to our full-time team of feline-only veterinarians. Now some of you may already know Dr. Megan, she has been here for 20 years but only as a relief doctor. Now we can finally say she is part of our team of feline health advocates.
Dr. Megan is special to us in so many ways. First, she is Dr. Tracy’s best friend. As a matter of fact, they both went to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated the same day. Together Dr. Tracy and Dr. Megan have shared a close friendship for 35 years. The picture above is the both of them all smiles on the day of graduation. Isn’t that a fantastic photo?
As a southern California native, Dr. Megan started her veterinary career in equine medicine. She spent six years working full-time at southern California racetracks. Then Dr. Megan spent a year in Washington State working as a full-time small animal emergency veterinarian. In 1993 she moved back to southern California and continued to work on small animals. Dr. Megan has always had a special interest in feline medicine. In addition, she has advanced training in ultrasound and dentistry. Speaking of dentistry, we have extended our 10% off dental procedure until March 28 in honor of dental health month and Dr. Megan joining our team.
In her free time, Dr. Megan enjoys a good book and card games. She is owned by 2 cats, Geordie and Barnaby.
Join us in welcoming Dr. Megan. To schedule an appointment please call The Cat Doctor & Friends at 661-259-5288.
