Just Passing Thru is one of the longest running owner-operated piercing studios in the USA and one of a handful of “piercing only” studios in all of Southern California today.
JPT is stocked with an impressive selection of high-quality inventory from the top body jewelry designers and manufactures on the planet, including Anatometal, Leroi and BVLA to name a few. The shop features something for everyone from implant grade titanium to solid 14k/18k gold to genuine diamonds and gemstones. The interior is comfortable and classy with immaculate procedure rooms and a “sterilization” processing facility that is state-of-the-art and Statim G4 equipped.
Just Passing Thru is licensed and regulated by the Los Angeles Public Health Department. I’m a proud member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), an international health and safety organization. This means we follow strict health safety measures far beyond California law requirements and abide by an uncompromising set of standards such as only conducting initial piercings with implant grade (biocompatible) metals manufactured in the USA and or approved by the APP. I even take it a few steps further by using “sterile” gloves for piercing procedures and enrolling in “weekly” spore testing on all autoclaves.
Today’s JPT has been a vision of mine for several years and being part of the City of Santa Clarita’s relocation project in 2017 was perfect incentive to make it happen. My ultimate vision was to create an upscale, comfortable environment that was inviting, modern and meticulously clean and I feel I’ve accomplished just that. My focus is on professionalism, safety and supplying my clients with aseptic piercing techniques and beautiful quality jewelry that’s made to last a lifetime.
The shop has come a long way from its humble modern primitive/punk rock beginnings in 94’ and has incurred several metamorphosis to what it is now. I read an interview with David Bowie in the 80’s and remember him stating “change is growth” and it’s always stuck with me. The world is constantly evolving and if we don’t roll with it is when it leaves us behind.
