A Trove of Treasures Take a Stroll to Old Town Newhall and into Barn & Charm
Eclectic, unique, antique and vintage are just some of the words used to describe the collection of treasures located in one amazing shop in the heart of downtown Newhall. A lovely store curated by owner Carol Reesha, Barn & Charm is a collection of artists corners, one of a kind items and the most gorgeous antiques, some collected from around the world.
With almost 20 years of experience as a visual merchandiser and buyer, Laurie Jones brings a lifetime of passion for design, décor and collecting when purchasing pieces for her new venture, My Hearts Cottage. Some of the Barn & Charm clients will recognize Laurie from Cobblestone Cottage.
My Hearts Cottage is a collection of what Laurie finds beautiful, interesting and uniquely connected to. Before turning her eye for décor into a business, Laurie was a client at Barn & Charm taking a class, getting painting advice and casually shopping.
“I had taken a calligraphy class with one of Carol’s artists and really enjoyed it as well as the people I took the class with. I noticed as I got to know the makers around me, I completely fell in love with the supportive and creative vibe in the shop,” shared Laurie.
As Laurie looks to the future of My Hearts Cottage, she plans to bring her own customized pieces to the collection of items she acquires for her boutique. She is constantly inspired by the collection of artists around her as well as the collaborative environment she is in at Barn & Charm. You can find My Hearts Cottage in the Bay Window area at Barn & Charm and follow Laurie on Instagram @myheartscottage. Keep your eyes out for new and unique items in her corner, as well as the entire showroom at Barn & Charm.
