New “Performance Institute” Coming to Henry Mayo Fitness and Health Institute to offer high-level performance training and Pilates

The Performance Institute at Henry Mayo Fitness and Health, which will house both a Sports Performance Training area and a Pilates Reformer Studio, will be opening in late September
The Performance Institute will offer adult group training – a program that includes strength training and high-intensity workouts; sports performance training – conditioning designed to improve speed, agility, strength, and power for athletes both in-season and out of season; and youth performance training – workouts designed for athletes ages 14-and-under that focus on proper movement development.
Sports performance and rehabilitation services will be offered at the Performance Institute by Henry Mayo physical therapists, to help athletes return to peak performance after injuries and avoid future injuries.
In the Pilates studio, Pilates Reformer classes led by certified instructors will be offered. This new studio will help members strengthen their muscles, tone their bodies, increase joint mobility, and overall improve the quality of life. Guided private and semi-private sessions will be offered.
This September also marks Henry Mayo Fitness and Health’s third anniversary, and it is inviting the community to join in the celebration the week of September 23 to 28, when there will be daily classes and events offered to promote healthy living and fitness.
Henry Mayo Fitness and Health is Southern California’s only integrated fitness facility, and serves the community by providing a state-of-the-art cardiovascular training area, a strength and conditioning area, group exercise-aerobics and fitness studios, swimming and water classes, personal training, and health education classes.
