What’s New at Azul Tequila

Where did the margarita come from? According to drink historians the famed cocktail was created by Carlos “Danny” Herrera at his restaurant near Tijuana in the late 30s. Since then the cocktail has become an all-time favorite around the world. Azul Tequila has taken the famous drink and offers a wide selection of it with many different flavors and mixes. Even creating new ways to classics like the Cadillac margarita. This restaurant offers an Azul Cadillac. This cocktail is made with house silver and reposado tequila, fresh line, triple sec and blue curacao served with a shot of Grand Marnier. Another highly popular margarita would be the “Cucorita” a refreshing, blended cocktail that is made with Midori, agave, cucumber and again a mixture of house silver and reposado tequila. If you are like me you have a favorite tequila and each of these drinks can be made with it for an extra charge. While enjoying either one of these drinks try one of new Happy Hour menu items.
In the bar area only Happy Hour is from 3p.m. to 7- p.m. Mon-Fri, (Monday it starts at 11 a.m.) and the weekend from 11 a.m. to 4p.m. The owner, Rafael and his team have added some new tasty items on the menu. Like the Three Street Tacos. This dish is made of three corn tortilla taco shells with a meat of your choice (grilled chicken, steak, or veggies) that is topped with cabbage, light cheese and chipotle sauce. If you want something that is more filling try the Flautas three crispy flour tortillas stuffed with your choice of chicken or beef. These delicious treats are served with guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. No matter what you choose Azul Tequila ensures there is something here for everyone.
