A Barnyard full of Piglets
It’s been a wonderful adventure watching our newly rescued piggy family grow and gain confidence in our barnyard. The once shy and timid family has blossomed into what would seem at times a wild mob. They play and tussle with each other like puppies, splash in the pool like excited kids, chase each other around and around the barnyard as fast as they can, and squeal loudly long before mealtime whenever they see our staff go into the feed room. Our barnyard is alive and bustling all day long!
They’re constantly communicating with each other and the barnyard is full of magical squeals and grunts, some high pitched and some deep and throaty. One day Menorah was in the back of the barn exploring, while the babies were in the front yard digging in the dirt with their noses. Suddenly one piglet noticed mom wasn’t nearby and started yelling. Her brothers and sisters joined in. From the back mom yelled, “here I am” to which the babies sounded, “where?!” Mom answered, “right here”, and they asked, “Where, we can’t see you?” Menorah came out from behind the barn exclaiming, “I’m right here!” “Ohhhhh” said the babies and they all ran to kiss and rub up against mom.
