Owen, Patterson & Owen Looking At the Glass Half Full
COVID-19 is affecting us all. While the statistics as to those stricken worsen daily, it is difficult to see any positive in this situation. But we must. We look to our own neighborhood and see the Facebook posts of our neighborhood grocery, letting us know they have a supply of toilet paper, asking who needs an order of ground beef from a wholesaler, and which high-risk neighbors need home delivery. We see the children going on a bike ride scavenger hunt with their parents, looking for the teddy bears placed in the windows throughout the community, staying far from any other families they see on the road. We, as attorneys, who normally work long hours away from our families at the office, now are working at home, able to spend significant amounts of time with our children and our pets. Our dogs have never gotten so much love from every member of the family. We are able to spend that one-on-one time with our teenagers, taking them away from social media long enough to have meaningful conversations with them. And we are having fun with them that hasn’t happened for a while, whether it’s playing a board game that they haven’t played in years, putting together a puzzle, or even doing a Tik Tok together (that will absolutely never be posted).
At Owen, Patterson & Owen, our office is fully operational, with 100% of our staff working remotely. We are available to serve our clients’ legal needs, and we continue to work on our existing cases as if we are in the office. We are continuing to work with insurance companies nationwide, and if a case is in litigation, depositions will proceed remotely, if agreeable to all parties, and resolutions of cases continue. Despite COVID-19, the residents of Santa Clarita and beyond can always count on OPO to be here for them, just as we have been for the past 43 years.
So, until we see each other again in person, please reach out to us at 661-799-3899 or via email at info@owenpatterson.com. Stay safe and healthy.
